Elderflower Evensong Tea Mix

ingredients

instructions

  1. Measure the dried elderflower and dried lavender into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Stir through to combine and evenly distribute the dried ingredients. Stir gently to avoid breaking the dried elderflower too much, which will make the blend more powdery (it will still be safe to consume, but makes a less clear tea).
  3. Spoon or pour the tea mix into a one-pint glass jar or other air-tight container. Seal with a tightly-fitted lid for storage.
  4. To prepare a cup of this elderflower tea, use one teaspoon tea blend for each 8-ounce serving. A teaspoon of honey is a nice sweetener, or use simple syrup or pure cane sugar if you prefer a less competing sweetener. A slice of fresh lemon is also a nice addition that offers more immune-supporting vitamins.
